What to expect: The Issaquah Salmon Hatchery is easily accessible by wheelchair. The area is well paved with appropriate ramps. There is a small bridge and you may or may not be able to see over the railing, but the fish ladder itself is plexi-glass from bottom to top, making for easy viewing.
Salmon spawn in the fall so the best time to visit is September/October. Public tours are conducted by guides from Friends of Issaquah Salmon Hatchery (F.I.S.H).
The best place to park, although perhaps frowned upon by some, would be in the Public Library parking lot across the street. Several disabled parking spots just a short distance from the hatchery itself.
Consider also the Issaquah Salmon Days arts and crafts fair. Held the first weekend of October it is generally a crowded affair (Husky games and weather not withstanding) but if you don't mind being patient with people who seem oblivious to wheelchairs, it's all food and fun.
